Delete your LetterLock account
What gets deleted
- Your profile: email address, username, XP, level, prestige and unlocked content.
- Your friends list and pending friend requests.
- Your saved (in-progress) game.
- Your leaderboard scores and match results.
- Custom question packs saved to your account.
Everything is removed immediately from our live database. Encrypted backups are rotated within 30 days. Anonymous aggregate statistics (for example how often a question was answered correctly) contain nothing about you and are kept.
Option 1: in the app (fastest)
- Open LetterLock and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- On the Home screen, tap your username (👤) at the top.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm. You are signed out and the account is gone.
Option 2: by email
If you cannot sign in, or you would rather not open the app, email us from the address on the account:
Include your username if you remember it. We delete the account within 7 days and confirm by reply. If the email comes from a different address we may ask you to prove the account is yours (for example by sending you a one-time code).
Before you go
- Remove Ads purchase: it is tied to your App Store or Google Play account, not to your LetterLock account. After creating a new LetterLock account you can bring it back with Restore purchases in the app.
- Guest data (settings, seen-questions tracker, a local saved game) lives only on your device. Clear the app's storage or uninstall the app to remove it.
- Deleting your account does not delete online rooms you are currently in; leave them first.
