Terms of Service

Effective 5 September 2026 · LetterLock is made by RAL Technologies, Kingdom of Bahrain.

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and RAL Technologies, Kingdom of Bahrain ("we", "us"), for your use of LetterLock: the website at letterlock.raltech.dev, the installable web app, and the LetterLock apps for iOS, Android and Android TV (together, "LetterLock"). By playing LetterLock you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use LetterLock.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to create an account. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms for you.

2. Your licence

We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and play LetterLock for your own entertainment, including for classroom and party use. You may not:

• copy, sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute LetterLock or its question content;
• reverse-engineer, decompile or extract the question database, except where the law expressly allows it;
• remove or hide notices, ads (other than through the "Remove Ads" purchase) or disclaimers;
• use automated tools, bots or scripts to play, scrape or interfere with LetterLock.

LetterLock, its name, logo, board design, code, sound and original question content are owned by RAL Technologies and protected by copyright and trademark law. The apps are licensed, not sold. Where you download an app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store's usage rules also apply, and Apple or Google are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms with the right to enforce them.

3. Accounts

• You can play as a guest. An account is needed for XP, friends, leaderboards and saved games.
• You are responsible for the email address and sign-in method attached to your account. Keep one-time sign-in codes to yourself.
• Usernames must not impersonate other people, contain slurs or sexual content, or infringe someone's trademark. We may change or remove a username that breaks this rule. Usernames can be changed once every 30 days.
• One account per person. Do not share, sell or transfer an account.
• You can delete your account at any time in the app or at letterlock.raltech.dev/account/delete/index.html.

4. Your content (custom question packs)

LetterLock lets you write your own question packs and, in some cases, share them with other players ("Your Content").

• You keep ownership of Your Content.
• You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, copy, display and transmit Your Content so that LetterLock can work, including showing shared packs to the players you share them with. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in routine backups (removed within 30 days).
• You are responsible for Your Content. You promise that it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark or privacy, and that it contains no hateful, sexual, violent, defamatory or illegal material.
• We may review, hide or remove any content that we believe breaks these Terms, and we may suspend accounts that repeatedly do so. We are not obliged to monitor content, but players can report packs from inside the app.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post offensive names or content;
• cheat, exploit bugs, manipulate scores, XP or leaderboards, or interfere with online rooms you are not part of;
• attempt to access other players' data, our servers or databases without authorisation, or probe, scan or overload our systems;
• upload malware, or use LetterLock to send spam or unsolicited messages;
• use LetterLock in a way that breaks any law.

We may warn, restrict, suspend or terminate accounts that break these rules, and we may report unlawful activity to the authorities.

6. Trademarks, brands and franchises

LetterLock's question packs cover general knowledge, geography, sport, films, music, video games and popular fiction. Some packs identify companies by their logos, and some packs ask trivia questions about well-known books, films, series and games.

All logos, brand names, character names and franchise names are trademarks or copyrights of their respective owners. They are used only to identify the subject of a trivia question. LetterLock is unofficial fan trivia. It is not produced, sponsored, endorsed by or affiliated with any of those owners, and no such connection is implied.

Logo images are shown for identification only, in the quiz format used by logo-quiz games, and are never used in our marketing or store listings.

Removal requests (takedown)

If you are a rights-holder and believe that a logo, image, clip, question or custom pack in LetterLock infringes your rights, email info@raltech.dev with: (1) the content in question (pack name and, if possible, the question text), (2) the right you hold and proof of it, (3) your contact details, and (4) a statement that the information is accurate. We remove or disable the content within 48 hours of a complete notice and confirm by email. We may also remove content earlier on our own initiative. If we believe a notice is mistaken, we will tell you why.

7. Purchases, ads and refunds

• LetterLock is free. The mobile apps show advertising served by Google AdMob between games and on menus. Our Privacy Policy explains the consent choices you have.
• Remove Ads is a one-time in-app purchase sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The price is shown in the store before you buy. The purchase is tied to your store account and, when you are signed in, to your LetterLock account, so it also applies on the website and on your other devices.
• Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, under its refund policy: Apple or Google Play. We cannot issue refunds for store purchases ourselves, but we will help you find the right place to ask.
• If you lose access to a purchase, use "Restore purchases" in the app while signed in to the same store account.
• There are no subscriptions, loot boxes, random rewards or paid gameplay advantages in LetterLock.

8. Availability and changes

We work hard to keep LetterLock available, but online features (rooms, accounts, leaderboards) depend on our servers and your internet connection and may be interrupted for maintenance or reasons beyond our control. Local play works offline. We may add, change or remove features, question packs and content at any time. We may also require you to update the app to keep using online features, and may retire versions that are no longer supported.

9. Termination

You can stop using LetterLock or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these Terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering LetterLock. Sections 2, 4, 6, 10, 11 and 12 survive termination.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

LetterLock is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about its availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose. Trivia content is checked carefully but may contain errors; if you find one, tell us at info@raltech.dev and we will fix it.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RAL Technologies will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of LetterLock. Our total liability for any claim relating to LetterLock is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (which, for a free game, may be nothing). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud, or your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Bahrain, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be settled by talking to us first will be brought before the competent courts of the Kingdom of Bahrain. If you are a consumer living in a country whose law gives you the right to sue where you live, that right is not affected.

13. General

• If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in force.
• These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about LetterLock.
• We may update these Terms. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, show a notice in the app. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the new Terms.
• We may transfer our rights under these Terms to a successor of the LetterLock business; you may not transfer yours.
