Frequently asked questions
Is LetterLock free?
Yes. The game, the packs and online rooms are free in the browser and in the apps. The apps show ads; a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase in the App Store or Google Play turns them off.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play as a guest straight away. An account (email code, Google or Apple sign-in) adds XP, levels, friends, leaderboards, saved games and the pack editor, and keeps your progress across devices.
How many people can play?
Two teams of any size. In Couch Mode everyone shares one screen; in Party Mode each player joins on their own phone with the room code.
Where can I play?
In any modern browser at letterlock.raltech.dev on a phone, tablet, laptop or TV, and in the LetterLock: Hex Trivia app on Google Play for Android phones, tablets and Android TV. An iPhone and iPad app is on its way to the App Store.
Can a game end in a draw?
No. On a hex board one team always connects its edges before the board fills up, so every game has a winner.
What happens if nobody knows the answer?
The picking team answers first; if they miss, the other team may steal. If both miss, the hex stays neutral and can be picked again later.
Can I change a wrong decision?
Yes. The host can Undo the last decision, and can Skip a question once per pick to get a fresh one with the same letter.
Are there questions in Arabic?
Yes. 51 packs are written natively in Arabic and play with Arabic letters on the board. Switch the pack browser to عربي to find them.
Is it suitable for children?
LetterLock is made for players aged 13 and over. The Kids & Family pack and the Easy packs suit younger players playing with family or in class, and Relaxed mode removes the timer.
Can I write my own questions?
Yes. Signed-in players can build their own packs in the pack editor.
Why are some music packs missing from the app?
Packs that play song previews from the iTunes catalogue are licensed for the website only, so they are marked web only and appear in the browser version.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Home, tap your username, then Delete account. On the web, follow the steps on the Delete account page, or email info@raltech.dev from the address on the account.
